the ‘Catedral Metropolitana’ in Mexico-City – a cathedral which was build on the ruins of the (destroyed) ‘Templo Mayor’ of the indigenes and which, therefore, next to its architectural and religious importance also acts as a testimony of the controversial colonial history of the Spanish kingdom in the 16th century.
A book that I recommend to everyone is …
‘Milagro en los Andes’ by Nando Parrado – a exciting and teaching report by a survivor about the plane crash in the Andes in 1972 and about what humans, even facing biggest need and despair, are capable of achieving.
